New Year's Eve

Madeline spent her first New Year's Eve watching the UK bowl game, and spending time with Pa. She even crawled forward several times! She finally figured out how to get out of reverse! All of the crawling was hard work though... she couldn't make it till midnight! She put her head down on her stuffed animal and fell asleep before we could get her in her carseat to come home! It was too cute.

More Presents!!

Today Donna came to visit Maddie and brought her more gifts! She got 2 cute winter outfits and a huge white fluffy teddy bear! The gift bag for the bear was taller than Madeline! The girls had a very nice visit. The teddy bear was a big hit, and we can't wait to see her in the cute new clothes. Thanks, "Donnie!"

All I want for Christmas...

Here are pictures of Madeline's first Christmas! She got so many nice gifts- a laptop, a personalized Build-A-Bear, a Cabbage Patch doll, an activity table, books, stuffed animals, money, clothes, and a cheerleader doll that says cheers, to name a few. We started out opening presents from Santa at home, then headed to Pa's for more gifts and breakfast. Then we went to Nana and Grandad's to exchange gifts with them Christmas night. She looked so so cute in her Christmas dress! She had the most fun playing in the big boxes that presents came in, and playing with our empty stockings. We tried to take a picture of her in her Scotty dog outfit next to Nana and Grandad's Scotty, Toby. That was easier said than done. They were big buddies though. Madeline was not scared of him at all! We had a great Christmas. Madeline was the best gift of all.

Christmas Eve

Baby's first Christmas Eve turned out to be a very good one. Pa came over and we had dinner, exchanged gag gifts, and wrote a note to Santa to put out with his cookies. One of the gag gifts was a Santa hat for everyone. Maddie got a kick out of them! She also liked playing in the Macy's shopping bag we had everything in. After the baby went to bed, the adults had a lot of fun putting out all of her things from Santa.

Play Date!

Today Madeline had a play date at Reese's house. They played with toys and exchanged gifts. Madeline got a sippy cup with her name on it and an ornament for her first Christmas. Reese got a twin set with matching bow and a book. Reese loved the flowers on Madeline's sweater and kept touching them! Madeline loved Emily's homemade pimento cheese. It was so funny! The girls took turns playing with Reese's animal train and danced to a musical snowman they had. We had so much fun. The Burden girls are very good hostesses!

Christmas Party!

Here are some pictures from Madeline's Christmas Party at Mrs. Cheryl's today. You'll see her with her friends Ana, Wyatt, Logan and Luke. She got a cute Holly Hobbie doll/bear/block gift set. She has started to love playing with dolls!

Funny Girl

Here are a few pictures of some of the funny things our baby girl has been doing! Her little personality is really starting to come out. She loves to play(yes, even in Rubbermaid containers!), and is getting one of her one year molars, so she is also chewing on lots of things. (In the picture with the laptop, she's cracking up at the Ding Fries Are Done song someone emailed to us.)

First Christmas Party

Tonight we went to Jane's house in Richmond for Madeline's first Christmas party! She got to eat at the big table :) and opened her first Christmas presents. Jane's house was decorated so well and the food was delicious. We were so stuffed. Everything turned out great...except for the UK game. Guess Madeline shouldn't have worn IU colors! Madeline's Weekend

We had a busy weekend! First we cleaned the house (Madeline had fun when the laundry was done) and then Donna kept Maddie so we could go to the UK/North Carolina basketball game. After the game, we came home and put up the outside Christmas lights. Talk about cold!
