Surprise!
Madeline got 2 surprises today. First, Cheryl called on our way to Wilmore and said that her girls were sick, so Mommy had to take a last minute sick day. We turned around and headed home to have a girls day! She was such an angel baby all day. We had a good time. The second surprise was at dinner-- instead of cereal like she's had for the last 2 weeks, Maddie got bananas! It was her first actual baby food experience. Watch the video and see if you think she liked them!!

Pa's House
Yesterday Madeline got to watch the UK game at Pa's. She lasted for about 3 hours of it, then told us it was way past naptime, so we had to head home before the game ended. She got to see Uncle Rich for awhile, played outside crunching leaves during halftime, then ate Cracker Barrel for dinner. (Just the sauce off of some fried apples--she loved it!) We had a very good day. She's the smartest one of all of us....she slept while we all trimmed shrubs before the game! She woke up just before kick off. Thanks for dinner, Pa!

Keeneland
Today was Madeline's first trip to Keeneland. The weather was beautiful. It was pretty windy, and Maddie got a big kick out of the wind blowing in her face. She had lots of fans there! Everyone was talking to her and telling us how cute she was. We thought it was so funny that the #11 horse in the first race was named Daddy's Lilpunkin. We had to bet on it! Since she's fascinated with paper right now, she had a great time looking at the newspaper to help Jerrod pick horses to bet on. She is definitely her Daddy's Little Punkin!

A Week of Firsts
Fall Break has turned out to be action-packed for Madeline. She sat for the first time in a high chair at a restaurant, took her first ride sitting up in a shopping cart, bought her first winter coat, and ate her first mashed potatoes at Ramsey's. Tonight she ate in her high chair at home for the first time. The rice cereal is going very well. She really likes it! Next week, we get to start adding fruits and vegetables too.

Punkin at the Pumpkin Patch
Madeline took her first trip to Boyd Orchards on Sunday afternoon. The weather was great and she was good as gold. She got lots of compliments on her pumpkin shoes, Halloween shirt and her hair bow. She was so cute watching everyone and looking at the animals in the petting zoo. We got her a very small pumpkin so she could hold it by herself! We are planning on carving the big one that we picked out. That should be interesting!

Game Day!
As you can see, we're pretty sure our Maddie Jade is already a UK Fan! She had a great game day-first we had lunch with her Great Aunt Jane, then Pa, Uncle Rich and Carol came over. Today was the first time she's gotten to wear her Wildcats outfit. Maybe she was their good luck charm!
(ps thanks to Jane for the adorable duck and outfit!)

Madeline's Massage
As you can tell, getting a massage is hard work! Actually, both of the Carrico girls got a massage this afternoon! Even though Madeline just had to have a bottle while it was Mom's turn to be pampered, Donna still worked magic on the impossible shoulder muscles I've been blessed with. The Princess had to have a baby back massage before we left. It definitely relaxed her!!

Date Day!
Thanks to Aunt Donnie for babysitting today so Mom and Dad could go to lunch and a movie. We should have stayed home, since Madeline got treated to one of Donna's world famous massages!! She also brought the baby her very first Halloween book. We are so lucky to have Donna in our lives! We came home just in time to pack up for church. Madeline looked too cute in her blue! :)
6 Months Already??
Time sure does fly when you're having fun! We can't believe our angel baby is already six months old!! She has grown so much and can do so many things! She is so much fun. Madeline continues to surprise us daily-- Daddy never dreamed a girl could have him so wrapped, and Mommy still can't get over the fact that Daddy had to talk her in to having a baby!! We wouldn't trade her for the world. We think she's perfect. Happy 6 months, Maddie!!

Planning For the Future
Even though I'm only 6 months, I am planning for the future. I just added a new feature to my blog. Below on the right hand side you can now access information regarding the Stock Market. I know I'll keep a close eye on the Dow as I plan for the future.
Oh well Mom made me take off the Market Link. Guess I'm too young

First Day
Today is Madeline's first day on her new blog. She is new to this but is very excited about getting started. As you can see she is our little blessing. She is about to turn 6 months and already has two teeth. Well, enough for now.
