Scissors

Maybe we're crazy or really brave, but we broke down and bought Madeline some "kid scissors," as she calls them. She had been asking for some since the Valentine party at the Village. Luckily, she has only used them on paper so far! She says her left hand is for cutting and her right hand is for writing. Of course, it is killing Mommy that she isn't putting the scissors in her right hand! I'm gonna keep working on her! At least she's working on her cutting skills regardless.

Visiting Ben and KK

We finally made it to Henderson this weekend to see Kerrie and Ben's new house. Madeline loved it! She had a great time being spoiled! She did her ballet dancing for everyone with her tutu on, played with her new toys she got there, and watched the UK/Vandy game. She was doing the C-A-T-S cheer for everyone and getting a kick out of saying, "Blue and White!" when we asked, "What's your favorite color baby?" Her other favorite thing while we were there was their dog, Rooney. You'd think she'd be afraid of a dog that is twice her size, but no way! She loved playing with him! We had a great time visiting and seeing everyone.

Valentine's Day

Madeline started out her Valentine's celebrations on Friday. She came to Mommy's school for a party with the preschoolers, then had the whole room full of toys to herself after they got on the busses to go home. She even got to paint Mommy a beautiful valentine! Then, Nana took her home to open her treats from her friends at Ms. Sherry's house. On Saturday, she got gifts from Pa and Nana & Grandad. She loved all of the sweets and the cute things for her new big girl room! She definitely got spoiled this Valentine's Day!
