Here's the Princess trying on her flower girl dress today. We got it a little big so she has room to grow between now and June. All we need is the hairbow and shoes! She's going to be adorable!

Her New Favorite Toy
Meet 'Baby Loren'-- she's Madeline's new doll that swims! Pa and Charlene surprised Madeline with her this afternoon. She played with her all day, having fun putting on her flip flops, sunglasses, and headband. Needless to say, bathtime was longer than ever tonight! When we asked her what the baby's name is, she said, "Baby Loren!" She named her after Mommy's friend at work. Maddie is going to be the flowergirl in her wedding in June.
Thanks to Pa and Charlene for spoiling our baby girl!

Long Weekend
We met Nana, Grandad, KK and Ben in Louisville to eat at the Cheesecake Factory and go shopping on Saturday night. Madeline looked adorable in her pink and brown! Her favorite thing was throwing change into the fountains in the mall. After she went through all 3 of our billfolds and ran out of change, she decided to take off her shoes and try to get in the water! We had so much fun!

Bath Time
When you don't have a full bath on the main floor of the house, and Mommy's knee still can't go up stairs or bend to bathe the baby, here's what you do! It takes a lot of Ajax and bleach and tons of rinsing to get the sink clean enough, but Madeline actually enjoyed her sink baths this week! Daddy finally got a break from bath duty a couple of times! He's been doing a great job while Mom has to recover. And our girl is definitely a water baby!

Our New Year's Eve
We celebrated the new year at home due to Mommy's knee surgery. It was pretty uneventful. We got Madeline some party hats and horns. She also toasted to 2009 with sparkling apple cider in her sippy cup! She was very cute saying "Cheers!"
The party horns were a little loud for her, but she liked the hats! ed
