Beach Vacation

In June we went to Seabrook Island, SC. We enjoyed our time on the beach, and getting to go into Charleston for good seafood, an aquarium, and sight seeing. Madeline was a perfect angel for the entire drive down and back. It was such a nice trip!

Last Day of School

We were fortunate enough to be able to spend Madeline's last day of school with her in May. They had inflatables in the gym, Fayette Co. library came to do story time, they did music and dancing, and finished off the day with ice cream sundaes. Madeline loved Mrs. Brice and Mrs. Durr. We are so happy she will be in their 4 year old class starting next week.

Spring Recital

Here is a short clip of Madeline's recital tap dance to "Mr. Sandman." She tried very hard to get her steps right. She was so serious until the very end when she smiled a huge smile! We were so proud of her.

Madeline's 4th birthday

Our big 4 year old had a great birthday. On her actual birthday (April 5th), she went to see Hop and we had dinner at Copper River. Then she opened presents from us. Then on Saturday, she had lots of friends to the Mad Potter for a Rapunzel party. The girls had so much fun painting. She got so many awesome presents! Then, we came back home and had her family party where she finally got to eat her Rapunzel cake that Nana made. She really enjoyed her bithday. Thanks to everyone who helped make it so special!

Disney on Ice

Madeline had a great time at Disney on Ice yesterday. She dressed up like Belle, and got an Ariel snowcone. She was fascinated by the show. That's the quietest she's been in a long time!

Meeting Lucy

Even though this post is about a month late, I had to share these cute pictures. In January, we got to meet Aunt KK's new Westie puppy. Her name is Lucy, and Madeline just loves her. They had such a good time together.

Christmas Fun

Christmas 2010 was a great one. Madeline had a blast. She got to spend time with family, made Christmas cookies with friends, and of course got LOTS of presents. Still wondering if the drum set from Santa was a good idea....
It worked out well that our white Christmas didn't impact travel, and that it was 55 degrees a week later so she could use her new baby car seat and bell for her bike.
We are so thankful for the real reason we celebrate Christmas- Jesus. As Madeline says, he's the most awesome one. We wish everyone a great 2011!
