Mia's First Christmas

Mia turned two months old on Christmas Eve! She was too small to get into her presents much, but she was so alert and good for every holiday function we went to. She enjoyed watching everyone and being held and spoiled by so many people. The girls had a great Christmas! Madeline was so excited about Santa coming this year. We even managed to get the girls' picture made with Santa with Mia awake and looking at the camera.

Tutu Cute

Here are some pics of Mia in her silver tutu, courtesy of our friends the Eppinghoffs! As you can see, cute girls can be tough too! She's working on her right hook!

Baby update

Since Mia will be 6 weeks old on Monday, it's way past time for an update. For starters, she is a great baby! She looks just like Madeline did at this age, only with brown hair. Another difference is that Mia Elizabeth loves her pacifier, and her big sister wouldn't take one at all! She rarely fusses- cold baby wipes do get her going though :) She is sleeping very well in her crib at night- she goes to be around 9 or 9:30 and only gets up once, usually around 3 AM, to eat. Then she goes right back down to sleep till 6:30 or 7. She and Madeline could be poster girls for BabyWise! She is eating 2 1/2 oz of breast milk every 3 hours- still just pumping and not nursing. We figured if it ain't broke, don't fix it. That was what worked best for me with Madeline, and it has been great for Mia too. According to our scales, she's up to 8.8 lbs! Can't wait for her 2 month check up in January to see how much she's grown! We are so blessed to have her. She is the perfect addition to our family! Madeline is a great big sister- we couldn't be more proud of how well she acts around the baby and how much she's willing to help out.

She looks just like Madeline, except with dark hair. She was the same weight and length as her big sister too! She arrived on her Nana's birthday. We are so blessed and love our sweet baby girl! Madeline is having a ball being a big sister too!

First Field Trip

In early October, we got to go with Madeline on her first field trip to Boyd's Orchards. She had a blast!

First Day of School

Madeline started 4 year old preschool at the end of August. She goes 3 mornings a week to LCA, and has the same teacher she had last year. She got to start the first week back being the calendar helper, which she really enjoyed. She is loving every minute of being in her classroom, and going to chapel, music, spanish, and gym. We are so proud of our big school girl!
